It’s that time of year again! Last Thursday the University of the Arts Illustration Department held their annual Portfolio Day (titled Words & Pictures), an event that offers the senior illustration students the opportunity to strut their stuff and display their best work to the local Philadelphia design community. (Pictured above is the student image we used for the event which was created by the very talented John Thomas.) As one of the Senior Portfolio class instructors, I’m proud to say that our students put together a fantastic presentation and we ended up having one of our most successful portfolio days ever!
Now for some pictures from that night…
(The “Words” for “Words & Pictures” were provided by special guest lecturer Art Chantry, genius designer and of course rock poster legend!)
(The lobby for the reception hall)
(Inside the reception hall there was a lot of excitement. The room was buzzing and packed with guests thumbing through portfolios and students chatting it up.)
(Some of the displays the students put together…)
(The class had a pretty sweet buffet of promos to offer, luckily I got a few shots before they were all snatched up.)
What a great way to end the year, Congratulations to all the students for a job well done!
